STUDENTS GET TASTE OF FLYING AT NEW $100M PILOT TRAINING FACILITY

At the $100m facility, the biggest in Asia to train commercial pilots, the teenagers got a glimpse into the industry and the training regime for pilots. The trip, though, was more than just another school excursion. The visit will help the students put the theories they learn in school into practice in the real world. The field lesson hit its mark. For instance, it would be good for the students to try and apply “maths to calculate the amount of fuel needed for a journey, or geography to do route planning and figure out how adverse weather affects the flight”. This is way better than going to the zoo.
