JUDGE THE GUILITY BUT FREE THE INNOCENT
25 Review The Straits Times Wednesday, June 21 2006
There are many detainees who live under desperation, suffering and incomprehension inside Guantanamo camp. They are detainees, not prisoners. They should be treated well even amongthese detainees there could be someone who supposes to be guility. However, there are also many innocents inside the camp and they hope to be free such as the author. He is now a free man but he still dreams about those days, two and a half years, inside the camp and how the treatment he recieved from the interrogators. He told the story in obession. Yet, he was not anti-American, he has never been in any battlefield and he has never aimed a weapon to anyone, he is absolute innocent, he spent a quarter of a decade in Guantanamo. Howver, he was better than someone. He did not suicide. He did not end his life meaninglessly like someone else. He is absolute smart.

Indeed it very overwhelming to hear that so many people suffer even though they are innocent; guiltless of crime. Every now and then, there are still people in many countries such as North Korea who lead their lives in fear, just hoping each day that they may escape from the bars successfully. I can only pray that more angels will be sent to save them.
